Overview. GridFire is a puzzle game with no accounts and no sign-in. Your progress stays on your device. The game is free with ads, and a single optional purchase removes them.

What the game stores on your device

Your scores, level progress, achievements, unlocked skins and backdrops, and your chosen nickname are saved in the app's own storage on your device. We cannot see any of it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

Online play and leaderboards

Online races and the leaderboards are optional. If you use them, the game sends your chosen nickname, a random identifier generated for your device, and your score or in-match progress to our own Supabase backend so an opponent's device can see your progress and so your leaderboard row can be updated. Your nickname is shown to opponents and on the world leaderboard.

Room records are deleted when a match ends or within a few hours. The random device identifier is not your Android advertising ID and is not linked to any account; it exists only so your own best score can be updated rather than duplicated. No match history is stored. Playing solo, Levels, Challenge or Pass & Play sends nothing anywhere.

Advertising

Ads are served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure them, Google receives information from your device, which may include your advertising ID, IP address, device and operating system details, and how you interact with an ad. This is handled by Google, not by us; see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use their services.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and opt out of personalised advertising, in Settings › Privacy › Ads. Rewarded ads are always optional — watching one only ever grants an extra life.

Purchases

Removing ads is a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment, and our billing provider RevenueCat verifies it so the purchase can be restored later. That involves a purchase receipt and an anonymous identifier for the installation. We never see your payment details, and the app never asks for your name or email address.

Permissions

No location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage permissions are requested.

Children

GridFire is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

Clearing the app's data or uninstalling removes everything stored on your device, including your progress. A Remove Ads purchase is tied to your Google account and can be restored after reinstalling.

Changes

If this policy changes, the Last updated date above changes with it.
