Privacy Policy — BurnBook
Overview. BurnBook is a personal subscription spend tracker. This policy describes how the app handles data while Plus purchases are live via Google Play Billing and RevenueCat.
Data we store
Subscription names, amounts, billing cycles, renew dates, categories, notes, and app settings you enter.
Where data lives
Your subscription list and settings are stored locally on your device using Capacitor Preferences / WebView storage. BurnBook does not require an account and does not upload your stack list to BurnBook servers.
Permissions
- Internet — used for Google Play Billing / RevenueCat purchase and entitlement checks.
- Notifications (optional) — if you enable renew reminders, BurnBook may use local notification permission (including POST_NOTIFICATIONS on newer Android versions) to schedule on-device alerts. Notifications are generated on your device and are not used for marketing.
Purchases and third parties
BurnBook Plus is available through Google Play Billing. Purchase flows and receipt / entitlement state may be processed by Google and by RevenueCat (our billing partner). BurnBook uses this to unlock Plus features (for example unlimited stacks and renew prompts).
Your subscription stack list stays on your device; BurnBook does not upload that list as part of purchase processing.
The MVP does not include analytics SDKs or ad networks.
Children
BurnBook is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices
You can clear app data / storage in system settings to delete local subscriptions. Reset sample data is also available in Settings. Manage or cancel Play subscriptions in Google Play subscription settings.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted with a new Last updated date.
